A new way to practice law.
It was over 15 years ago when Liisa took a leap and started Speaker Law Firm, with a specific vision in mind. This ground breaking vision was to own a law firm that dedicated itself to appeals; which had not been done before in Michigan. Yes, there were and are attorneys who work on appeals but there is no other firm in the state that focuses exclusively on appeals!
Why do we think appeals are their own area of law? Think about it this way, you wouldn't seek the advice of a tax attorney on a medical malpractice case. So, why would you consult with a trial attorney on an appeal? Just as Liisa would not represent a client in the trial court, we think clients should seek the counsel of an appellate attorney on their appeal.
For years, we've provided trial attorneys with materials to help better prepare their clients' cases for appeal. This information is in no doubt useful, but it doesn't make a trial attorney an appellate expert. Our Firm are the experts, so consult with us first!
